Economic development for ethnic minorities

Maori economic development is there such a thing? To our culture Its about about holding on to ancestral land and trying to develop it without risking it. This sounds easy yet there is only around 5% of Maori freehold land left in New Zealand out of 66million acres.

Some try farming the land. I am in the aquaculture business and have an aquaculture consultancy company and a paua farm.

How have other minority cultures developed their resources with out government assistance or support?
